The most expensive mistake in watch collecting isn't the watch
You've seen it happen — maybe you've lived it. A piece that looked right on paper, felt wrong on the wrist, and lost value the moment you tried to move it. A "deal" from a seller whose reputation you couldn't verify. A reference you passed on because you didn't know enough yet, and regretted six months later. None of that is a spending problem. It's an information problem. And information in this hobby isn't hard to find — it's hard to trust. YouTube has opinions. Forums have arguments. Hype pages have agendas. None of it tells you what to do with your specific budget, taste, and collection goals. That's the gap Watch Lover Premium closes. You get direct access to serious collectors and experts who've made the mistakes so you don't have to. Live calls where you can bring a real purchase decision and leave with a real answer. Trusted vendor relationships built over years, not hours of research. A community where the baseline level of knowledge is genuinely high. The collection you're trying to build in two years, alone — some of these men built it in twelve months, together. The room you're in determines the speed you move at. WOTD - Day #30 of April Challenge
I ran out of watches a coupe of days ago, so this morning I asked my Daughter to choose the Watch to go with my outfit. This way I didnt influence the outcomes as there are a couple of watches with 2 wears for the month. She chose the Islander Greenport and Big Red, bought them out and sat them next to the outfit and decided Big Red went best with the Burgundy and Pink of the outfit as there want enough blue to show of the Islander. Such a proud Dad moment 💌 This watch was my first ever Automatic and was purchased on our first ever Cruise as a complete Family. 30 of 30 Watch Challenge
It’s been a fun ride. Doing something like this makes me realize I have a large collection as I still can go another week without a duplicate wear. I still may just because, let’s see what tomorrow brings. I end the challenge with one I rarely wear, it’s an homage watch my father gave me a long time ago. I don’t wear it often as I don’t want to scratch it and it was designated as my “dress watch” right after I got it. I do appreciate the detail that went into it, the face, dial structure, the 007 tribute, it’s my grail watch, a Brosnan era Seamaster, but for now, this works nicely.

New Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT Coke on Jubilee
I had to get this one on the wrist. The updated Black Bay 58 GMT Coke on 5-Link/Jubilee bracelet, M7939G1A0NRU-0003, 39mm. This is an almost perfect watch, super comfortable, very intricate dial the gold setting it off nicely. I would almost say its the flagship GMT of the Black Bay 58 line. I loke it more than the bigger 41mm.
