Today I’m back in my Seiko Presage Cocktail Time GMT, and on a sunny day like this the dial really earns its keep. What I like about it is that the sunburst isn’t overly dramatic. Indoors it can look fairly soft and muted, almost champagne-like. Then the sunlight hits it and all of those fine radial lines start to wake up. It gives the dial a lot more depth without ever becoming loud. And I have to admit, this watch is quickly becoming one of my favorite go-to pieces. Part of that is the dial. Part of it is how easy it is to wear. And part of it is probably the fact that my wife gave it to me, which gives it a little extra pull every time I’m deciding what to put on. Funny how that happens with watches. Sometimes the one you expect to wear occasionally ends up being the one you keep reaching for. Today the sun made the decision pretty easy. 😎
