Loft and fillet issues

Hey all,

So I have two issues going on here.

1- So when I loft edges I sometimes see that the edges are NOT the same. In the image you can see that where the seam is between the an edge and the newly created loft surface I have overlap. In mind its like one edge has more control point than the other (know what I mean?).

2- Filleting: when I select and edge to fillet I get this interruption. It's like there is a break in the surface there. What causes this and how to fix it?

And as an FYI you see what I'm working on. :-)
