Beginner tutorial question

Very new to Plasticity and I am progressing through the beginner tutorial (Lesson 10 @ 11:00 minutes). During this sequence, a Boolean difference was made revealing surfaces which then get some fillets. Except when I perform that operation, my watch body shows up as hollow and those surfaces are not there for me to fillet. Is this simply a setting or command I am forgetting about or did I screw up something in a previous lesson?
