Hope you're feeling good today. As for me, I'm feeling a LOT better than I did a few days ago. I kept thinking, ‘Tomorrow I’ll feel better.’ I didn’t. It's true, what they say... You don’t really appreciate something until it’s gone. For the last two weeks, I was sick. Not “a little under the weather” sick. The kind of sick that sucks the life out of you. They call it the California Super-Flu, and it seems to be going around. It hit me hard. It hurt to move. It was hard to think. Simple tasks felt heavy. And then there was a nagging fear. What if this doesn’t go away? Every night, I went to bed certain that tomorrow would be better. And each morning, I woke up to more aches… thick phlegm monsters… coughing… and that unsettling feeling of being less than myself. That’s the Ogre most people don't talk about. When your body is off, it’s not just physical. Your clarity dims. Your motivation fades. Your sense of Self feels muted. You feel less than... I felt that way, anyway. You start asking a question most of us only ask when we’re forced to: When will this end? And then one morning, I felt a bit better. It didn't go away instantly. Just breath that came easier. Moving around didn’t hurt as much. I could think more clearly. It was official, I was getting better! Good Growing Better! Gratitude became my primary feeling. And an epiphany: We don’t realize how much our body is carrying us…until it can’t. Physical health isn’t just about looking good or hitting goals. It’s the foundation that allows everything else to flow. Clarity. Energy. Presence. Connection. Embodiment can't exist without the Body. This is why I do the work I do. Because when your body comes back online, you come back online.
