New AI classroom!
You may remember our favorite whale reader Dana Sacco (from Lunch with Mal and some of you may have bought her Whale Reader reports). Well, she's my AI go to guru and she finally decided to open up a Skool classroom and you can join for Free! Where writers learn simple, magical AI systems to write better, faster, and without the overwhelm. Your story just got easier. 🤖You'll learn how to create a codex and outline with AI 🤖How to modify a codex using AI if you already have one 🤖And later she'll teach AI cover design + prompts 🤖How to use AI to make your books into Audiobooks for Youtube 🤖And novel crafter essentials! If you're ready to join hit up this link! ➟➟https://www.skool.com/ai-writing-easy-af/about?ref=4fadcf87df884a2182779d78ff86ce61 We hope to see you over there!
Question, Friends!
Hello Authors and Friends! If I were to post more classrooms on teaching AI for writing, images, and marketing, do you think it should be in Storyteller Lab (here) or should it be separated out into it's own separate Skool classroom? I don't want to turn anyone off from Storyteller Lab if AI is not welcome but I don't want to make you signup for another Skool platform, either. Please vote here so we can see how everyone feels!

Upset - And in need of ranting
I was accused by a critique partner of using AI in my plotting because it is similar to Ilona Andrews' ones, also because I use metaphors that personify objects, and my chapters are too polished when I post them for review. She was polite about it (I value you as a critique partner etc.) but I was taken aback and hurt. I use AI for spelling and grammar, and I absolutely do not mind if anyone else uses it for more than that. I had already told my critique partner this, so the message came out of the blue. It has become the latest, gravest insult. If your writing is bad, mediocre or too good, if you use mdashes (I do), if you overuse the comma (I don't). How do you even defend yourself against it? (and you shouldn't need to, right?) I know I shouldn't care, but it hit me badly and I ended up with a bad migraine yesterday. My motivation is in the dumps (should be writing my manuscript now instead of posting this). I gently told her it wasn't true, and she has now apologised, but I feel the damage is done. Thanks for letting me rant!
Just need to vent 😤
I shouldn’t have looked at my comments on an ad, but I stupidly did. And got one of those “well if they used ai in their ad then they must have used it for everything else” blanket judgements. Oooo that gets my goat! (That’s a weird idiom, btw) 😡 Yeah, I just spent 15 years learning how to write, 5 months writing it, and $900 on an artist & formatting, alone, you $&%#! I know, just ignore. Ignore. Any sympathetic ranting or calming words are welcome.
