Most of our self-sabotage, overthinking, people-pleasing and perfectionism comes from one root fear: "What will happen if I stop controlling everything?" We've been taught that safety comes from outside — from approval, validation, a partner, money, a predictable life. But real safety — lasting safety — begins within.
