Morning Growth Syndicate. The Saturday call was awesome as always, making time for coffee and chat really sets me up for a great weekend, thanks to Mike and the members who regularly show up. One of the key takeaways I have grasped is to enjoy nature, and was outside just relaxing with a book, looked up into the sky and got lost in the clouds, to catch a huge wingspan of what I am told is a Red Kite. (My mate is a wildlife photographer). The grace of this bird of prey, with it's charateristic v shape formation, sat high on the thermals in glorious weather and reminded me to appreciate with gratitude the nature all around us. The speed and distance covered really impressed me, and like in business, there are highs and lows, and sometimes we "coast" thinking we are ok, when you need to be working either on your business, or gaining that next client. Have a great Bank Holiday weekend, my Monday I will be working "on" my business, and gearing up for a busy week. How will you spend yours?

Today is my birthday and I found myself reflecting than celebrating. I am so grateful for you -special shout out to @Mike Greene @Scott Dwyer @Godfrey Muneri @Debbie Dorans in the last 6 months - who have shaped my world in ways big and small, who keep me grounded, laughing, and reminded of what really matters. The everyday moments, the conversations, the support we give each other… that’s the real richness of life. There’s still so much I want to build, explore, and become—but today, I’m allowing myself to pause and appreciate what already is. Just want to say - forever grateful!!!!! Happy weekend everyone!!!!

Somewhere along the line… People started confusing love of country With hatred of others That’s not the same thing. Not even close. Being proud of your country… → The values it stands for → The culture it’s built on → The history that shaped it That’s not racism. That’s respect. St George wasn’t English by birth. But he became a symbol of something bigger. - Courage. - Conviction. - Standing up for what’s right. The legend of the dragon isn’t about monsters… It’s about facing fear. Standing your ground. Doing the hard thing when it matters. That’s what today represents. Not shouting louder than anyone else. But standing firm in who you are. There’s nothing more powerful than someone who: → Knows their roots → Respects their culture → And still embraces the world around them You don’t have to tear others down To stand tall yourself Be proud of your country Or the country you’ve chosen to call home Because identity isn’t something to apologise for It’s something to live up to Happy St George’s Day 🇬🇧

@Mike Greene brought huge energy to the room at the dinner last night with the fireside chat with Kevin Byrne, founder of Checkertrade and it was a lovely evening with Growth Syndicate members @Betsy Wong and @Kate Ashley-Norman The takeaways I gained were inspiring, snapshot were: 1. You don’t always need an investor that once scaled lose enormous equity, and can lead to “discussions’. 2. You can love your passions (oh there’s another carp!) those in the room will know. 3. You can have faith and carry it with you. 4. Helping community can affect positively and be very humbling to help others. 5. You can have the energy and passion to go again (Kevs trades) Thanks to all for a great evening, with no call this morning headed outside and in reading Mike’s book, relearnt the transition maps, it is not about the start, it is about where you end up which was really powerful 👊
