🐺 Call for Submissions: Marked by the Wolf 🐺
I am thrilled to announce the first installment in our Fairytale Reimagined series, now part of The Writer's Block Anthologies: Marked by the Wolf. The Theme This anthology is a loose Little Red Riding Hood retelling. It is open to most genres as long as your story fits the theme. Your story can feature traditional wolves, wolf shifters, or even a "wolf-like" individual—it just needs to revolve around a character who could be considered a "wolf." Rolling Submission Model We are moving away from fixed deadlines. This anthology will remain open for submissions until it is officially "Full." A collection is considered full when: - At least 10 authors have submitted accepted stories. - A minimum of 100,000 total words has been reached. Note on Selection: To ensure a high-quality reading experience, submission does not guarantee acceptance. The Writer's Block reserves the right to decline stories that do not meet our quality standards or thematic requirements. Submission Details - Word Count: 5,000–25,000 words. - Status: Currently OPEN for submissions. - Publication Date: Targeted for approximately 30 days after the anthology is "Full." Professional Standards & Author Services To be considered for publication, all stories must be professionally edited. If you need assistance preparing your manuscript, The Writer's Block Editing Team offers the following services: - Beta Reading: $.005/word (for early feedback to help you shape your story). - Professional Editing: $.01/word. Please note: Utilizing our editing services improves your manuscript but does not automatically guarantee acceptance into the anthology.
