Have you heard of tapping? (EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique)
Tapping is one of my favorite ways to clear whatever is getting in the way. I'd love to start a tapping video library for the Skool. Tapping along to a video is super effective. I've used tapping to help me finish NaNoWriMo in 20 days, banish procrastination, get clear on projects, no longer get triggered by certain things in my life. If you are interested in this, I'd love to know (A.)what is your biggest struggle right now in your author career and (B.) would you be interested in a free tapping session with me in exchange for letting me record and share the video after? Where are the brave people who are ready to move forward and let go of what is holding them back!?!?! Raise your hands. P.S. You can answer A even if you don't want to do a video. I need all the topic ideas I can get.

@Olivia Faye So for B, you wouldn't have to be on video, but I would need verbal responses recorded.

@Olivia Faye are you going to be there on Sunday to see how it works?
Calling all Indie Authors: Get Your Story Narrated! 🎙️
Hey everyone! I am officially opening submissions for my YouTube audiobook channel! I’m looking for Indie Horror, Thriller, and Dark Fantasy stories to feature in a unique, "real-time" narration format. How it works: - Authentic Storytelling: I, Tirzah M.M. Hawkins, record myself reading your work in single-take, one-hour chunks. It’s a raw, storyteller-to-listener experience. - Serialization: Longer stories will be released in parts first, followed by a final "long-form" video once complete. - Free Promotion: Every video features direct links to your book on Amazon and your social media platforms to help listeners find your work. - No Cost: There is no financial compensation, but also no fees—I even buy the digital copy of your book myself if selected! You retain full ownership of your work; I’m just here to help give it a voice. Ready to submit? Fill out the form here to share your story details: 👉 Author Submission Form For real-time support and writing sprints, don't forget to join us in The Writer's Hangout on Discord! Next Step

@Claudia Blood I look forward to checking them out. I'm sure they'll be great.

@Olivia Faye I record in one hour (about 50-55 minute) episodes. That makes any project manageable. Some traditional audiobooks are 20-30 hours long. That makes them 200,000-300,000 words. I'm NOT worried about length. 🤗😈😝 Bring it.
Introducing Our Flash Prompt Editing Option
Hi everyone! I wanted to officially introduce myself. I’m Amber, Tirzah’s partner in crime here in Skool. We’ll both be actively involved in editing, teaching, and guiding discussions throughout the community. As part of our monthly editing thread, we understand that not everyone will be comfortable sharing a work in progress. Some projects simply aren’t ready for feedback, while others are being kept close until publication. We respect that completely. Because of that, we’re adding an optional creative alternative very soon. ✍️ Biweekly Writing Prompts for Editing Practice Every other week, we’ll share a creative prompt you can use to write a flash fiction piece. These pieces may be submitted to the monthly editing thread for a chance to receive a professional edit from one of us, which will be shared with the group for learning purposes. This gives everyone a low-pressure way to: - Practice craft - Experiment with technique - Learn from real edits without sharing from a current manuscript 💡 Prompt Submissions Now Open We’re now accepting prompt ideas from the community. You’re welcome to suggest concepts, scenarios, constraints, or craft-focused challenges. While we won’t be able to use every submission, we’ll be building a rotating prompt pool for future sessions. 📘 Flash Fiction Anthology Opportunity We’re also exploring a flash fiction anthology series built from prompt responses written inside this community. - Participation is optional. - Submitting to the editing thread does not guarantee anthology inclusion. - Pieces not selected for the editing thread may still be invited to submit for an anthology. - All anthology selections will be carefully curated and need professional editing. - Anthologies will be published with shared royalties on D2D, the same as our other anthologies. More details will come later. For now, just know that strong prompt responses may have a second life beyond the classroom. 🧪 Example Prompt You are an ant.

Yay!! This is so fun. I already have an ant idea for a short story so I love this.
Taking a poll!!
Would you all rather: A. One anthology open at a time with a cutoff for submissions. B. One anthology at a time which launches as soon as it's full. (I'll be on top of updates and will leave some wiggle room for those who are ALMOST done with their story around the time I close it. ) C. Have three anthologies open at most times. You can choose which ones to write for and as soon as one closes, another will open shortly. These would launch as soon as they're full. Please vote and ask any questions you may have about this.

@Olivia Faye you don't have to sign up, you're just submitting your story when it's ready. But we can make it easy to submit intent and then be given a deadline if we have enough to launch with. Does that make sense?

As a slight clarification, I'd like at least 10 authors or 300,000 words for launch. When we get close to either, I will announce and give a last call of four weeks. How does that sound?
🎙️ Call for Submissions: Narrations for Indie Horror, Thriller, & Dark Fantasy 🎙️
Are you an indie author with a story that keeps readers up at night? I am officially opening submissions for narrations on my YouTube channel! While I enjoy reading my own work—like my latest series, SPIDERSIGHT—I am dedicated to spotlighting the incredible talent in the indie community by featuring stories from fellow authors. What I’m Looking For I am seeking gripping, atmospheric stories in the following genres: - Horror: From creature features to psychological terror. - Thriller: Fast-paced, high-stakes, and dark suspense. - Dark Fantasy: Gritty worlds with a touch of the macabre. Submission Guidelines & Rights - Format: Please submit a short synopsis and the first three chapters (or a link to your book). - Rights: I am only asking for non-exclusive rights to create a narrated audio version of your book for this channel. - Your Future Projects: This collaboration does not stop you from creating and selling your own professional audiobook or pursuing other audio projects in the future. - Indie Focus: I am specifically looking to support and promote fellow independent authors. Why Submit? Having your book narrated is a fantastic way to reach new audiences and provide a fresh experience for your current fans. All narrated videos will include direct links to your books and social media to ensure my viewers can find your work easily. Ready to see your story come to life? Send me a message or comment below to get started!
