Tonight I’m sitting down in front of the microphone to go live on Substack with the next podcast episode.
I was looking over my notes this morning, and what caught me off guard is how different it feels to say these words out loud versus writing them. On the page, it’s easy to hide behind the structure of a sentence. Out loud, in your ears, there's nowhere to hide.
I won’t give away the topic just yet—if you read Wednesday's email, you already know where we're heading.
Instead, I want to ask a question that has everything to do with why I keep showing up to this microphone:
Whose voice do you wish you could hear right now—saying the exact thing you needed to hear years ago?
For me, it’s my mother’s. Even now, I know exactly what she’d say.
I'll be thinking about that when I hit go live tonight. I'd love to hear who that person is for you in the comments below. 👇
