Distinction of Objects
An object without the distinction of OBJECT or any of the distinctions that make it up, isn’t actually anything. Which is what the object actually IS.
Examples Two different objects: a water bottle and a rock. Water bottle is made up of plastic, weight, colour, density, and so on. A rock has its shape, its texture, its depth, and so on.
Outside of these distinctions they are fundamentally the same, and no different. Outside of their distinctions there isn’t actually anything: isn’t form or qualia or any other distinction.
Analogy: it’s like a needle and a skyscraper. Needle IS a needle, and Skyscraper IS a skyscraper. But they are fundamentally the same, made of the same atoms. But atoms themselves are also distinctions and are also broken down and so on, until there isn’t “anything” to break down.
Something, fundamentally isn’t actually anything.
Something isn’t actually anything, yet IS still Something.
Something IS still something, yet isn’t actually anything.
Edit: Speaking of Extrapolation, ALMOST felt tempted to extrapolate this into the “What Am I” Contemplation (even if it’s to make “progress”). But that wouldn’t be Contemplation anymore, and really, what’s the point if I were to do that. Anyway, thanks.
Things are always easier said than done. 😕
Meeting the same tracks with more experience and nuance.
