You know how we create those detailed technician avatars for your shops?
I just spent a few weeks building a 50-page avatar for our ideal CSR.
Meet Kayla Morgan:
- Former service advisor turned part-time remote worker
- Married to Aaron (shop manager), two kids, lives in Lee's Summit, MO
- Works 9:00-1:00 while kids are at school
- Drives a perfectly maintained 4Runner with 142k miles
- Keeps color-coded notes and believes "calm is a service"
- Makes $25/hr + bonus talking shop with owners like you
Here's what hit me while writing her story: The best people for this role aren't looking for work (like good technicians right?).
Who I’m picturing:
✔️ Your retired service advisors getting restless at home.
✔️ Your spouse who knows every shop story but wants their own thing.
✔️ That parts manager who moved away but still texts you about the industry.
What they'll do:
👉 Keep candidate searches moving so owners stop chasing ghosts and hire faster
👉 Call/text owners & GM's to monitor progress of campaigns and coordinate changes
👉 Provide fast responses to questions concerns and troubleshoot campaign issues
👉 Success = time back to the owner + quality interviews + faster hiring (less “no-shows,” less chaos).
This isn't customer service – it's staying connected to the world they love while working around the life they chose.
Our mission here at Technician Find remains unchanged: Good techs do their best work when they connect with great shops, and we all benefit from safe and reliable vehicles.
But that only happens when someone who truly understands both worlds is bridging the gap.
Logistics:
- One fixed commitment: Wednesday midday team meeting
- Everything else flexes around real life
- Start short and scale if it’s a fit
If someone just popped into your head, have them text 'CSR' to me directly: (310) 387-7323.
Great CSRs aren’t on job boards. They’re living life, not looking—and they’re one intro away, probably in your contacts.
Who are you thinking of right now?
-Chris
P.S. Help us cut your hiring headaches: fewer ghosted interviews, faster hiring, and less time sifting through applications. That’s why we built this role.
P.P.S. Referral thank-you: $250 at start + $250 at 60 days when your referral sticks. (I said I eat my own cooking right?)😁
