Does Substack Notes Make Substack the Perfect Platform for Synthesizers?
I had always been hesitant about substack due to the fact that writers need to drive their own audience- organic audience-building within substack is very limited.
But it looks like things are changing-
Enter Substack Notes, a place to share and discover short-form written content (some are calling it a Twitter alternative)
I think the exciting thing about Substack Notes is the incentivisation of sharing quality content, and the lack of ads. Could this be an optimal place to share and discover quality ideas/ content, and organically build a paid audience?
For many, it won't be a place where their ideal audience will hang out, but for some of us, it could be a great way to find a like-minded audience who appreciate nuanced ideas.
Interestingly, Twitter has apparently started to disable activity on Tweets that contain substack links since Substack Notes has been announced... may be a point of contention for those who already have a large platform on Twitter
I'm by no means recommending this or claiming expertise. But I wanted to share as it struck me to be a Synthesizer-relevant platform update.
I'd be super interested to hear others' thoughts on this. Especially if you're a Twitter or Medium user.
