23rd Birthday + Client Results
Yesterday was my 23rd birthday, and I got to spend it in New York!? My inner child is healing πŸ˜…
But what I really wanna talk about today, is how things have been going with my main client (and an offer for business owners looking to grow a YouTube audience)
Andrew recently made a post about how to make money online as a beginner, and he mentioned how I'm currently helping a business owner grow their audience on YouTube.
The conversation it started was very interesting, and I saw a lot of people confused as to how a beginner can help someone else grow an audience.
Well here's the thing, in my opinion, they can't.
You shouldn't be looking at ways to make money as a beginner anyway. Because if it can be done by a complete beginner, it's not actually that valuable, and therefore isn't long term sustainable.
Instead, I think you should focus on learning and acquiring skills that a lot of people can't do, learn how to build a business that most people can't, it won't make you money in the beginning, but it'll make you a hell of a lot more money in the long term.
I spent years learning YouTube, from video editing, to storytelling, thumbnails, research and just generally what makes channels grow.
Eventually I managed to get my own channel to roughly 4k subscribers through long-form content, while doing all of the above myself.
Enter entrepreneurs.
Someone who's already doing 6-7 figures per year online, who knows the value in building an audience on YouTube, but knows nothing about how to get started.
I'm now equipped to not only help them grow based on my knowledge and understanding of the platform (how to research, how to use it to figure out viral video ideas, how to read analytics etc) but I can also literally do it for them.
Come up with the viral videos for them
Do the packaging for them
Script them
Optimise it for retention while also telling a good story
Edit it for them
Review analystics
Adjust with every lesson from each upload.
Now the only thing they have to do is recordd the videos, and approve edits/packaging.
This only takes a few hours per week, so they can still focus on their main business and have time to relax.
And here's the thing, I'm not gonna tell you this is easy and anyone can do it. *BUY MY COURSE AND YOU CAN DO IT TOO*
No.
It's really fucking hard.
But, I actually enjoy doing this work, and I know deep down that I'm actually providing a valuable service to society.
And because it's valuable, I know I'll make more money in the long term.
Now, I also saw Andrew use the Alex Hormozi value equation to say it is not as valuable as people think.
The reasons being, the entrepreneur perhaps doesn't have a perceived likelihood of achieving the dream outcome (having an engaged YouTube audience that follows them everywhere) and also it takes a LONG time (most people it takes years)
But, I'm confident I've fixed these issues.
Not by some hack anyone can do, but my doing things of actual value.
Yes, building a YouTube audience usually takes time, but with hard work directed towards proven research, videos can go viral very quickly.
So far with my client, we haven't even had a chance to work on a completely original video yet, she had so many vlogs filmed and planned videos, all I could do during these first few months was help her package them (and edit them) to give them the best chance of going viral.(we're going to fix this in the new year, we already have amazing videos planned I can't wait to publish)
And even still, our 2nd long form video crossed 6k views organically, just from specific packaging and editing. She now has over 800 subscribers in 2 months.
And again, we haven't even worked on any videos that are completely engineered from the start to go viral, all I've done is help package her vlogs and previous ideas.
She also wanted hep making a SUPER long VSL. This was not something I told her to do, but I did my best to shape her VSL to optimise it for YouTube.
Even that whole VSL package I made her, which included back end videos, has helped her generate many extra sales of her flagship $5k product.
So both in terms of audience and money, we've got her great results very quickly, and I know we can get the time scale on this much shorter going forward.
To improve our service, we recently started repurposing her long form content into shorts, for her YouTube and Instagram.
We're also helping her with a podcast, which will allow us to make much more short form content from there when she starts it.
This means on TOP of all the long form strategy and implementation we provide, we're also creating dozens of short form content every single month (also based on research) that will help grow and engage her audience, without ANY extra work for her.
And of course we'll grow faster whenever we can actually use our original ideas for her that are based on extensive research and ideation.
AND YouTube compounds over time.
So really, I think we've seen nothing yet.
It's a lot of hard work, but it's genuinely fun and I know providing actual value pays off in the long run.
Currently, I'm trying to increase the value even more.
I'm onboarding a thumbnail artist and video editor.
So they can focus on making those specific things as good as possible, while I have much more time and energy to focus on research and direction, making sure every video is as optimised as possible.
Which AGAIN, will make my offer much more valuable.
The guys I've just strarted a trial with right now are really good, they've both worked for channels with millions of views and subscribers, but in order to hire them full-time, I'll need another big client.
And here's my pitch.

As well as how we'll use all the long from content to make amazing short form content.
