I've written a piece that's kinda quirky. I didn't want to write a classic 12-bar blues. I wanted to go outside the box (my box, anyway). So I did this semi-folky, 12-bar blues with all kinds of weird, disparate sounds for percussive effect. The bridge is something I'm patenting as 'disco-blues'.
YOUR JOB, (SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO ACCEPT IT) is to tell me if I've left the box entirely. Should I bring it back in? What else bothers you? Mind you, it's still a demo. But I think I like the form. I plan to add a real female voice and then lead acoustic guitar riffs throughout.
Interesting note: I wanted this to be a female voice. So, I sang it and had AI convert it for a woman's voice. At 1:35 there's a word that AI could not figure out. So it made up what it *thought* the lyric was. Then it made up a word that rhymed just after.
What do you like? But more importantly, what do you dislike?
