I'm really being pushed out of my comfort zone this week. It's been so interesting to notice what happened to my body. I started to feel dizzy, my tummy got very upset and I felt awful. Because of my knowledge, I understand it's a protective response from my body, but it doesn't feel good. It actually feels silly because I know all the logic. It just goes to show that subconscious conditioning trumps logic every time.
I could decide not to do the task. What would that say about me when I get my clients to step out of their zones all the time? But I did have to break my initial goal down into something smaller. Because otherwise I wasn't going to achieve anything at all. I also did some tapping to help regulate my nervous system.
Just because our body responds in a way that feels bad, doesn't mean we should always listen. It may think it is protecting us from a tiger when the reality is it's just a friendly dog.
