🍫 The Weet-Bix Slice Remake (Higher Protein, Still Tastes Like Childhood)
Remember getting this in your lunchbox? Same. But let's make it work for our goals now. I've taken the classic Weet-Bix slice and given it a protein boost + swapped flour for oats. Because we're grown-ups now and we can do that. 🍽️ THE STRONG & SATISFIED WEET-BIX SLICE Ingredients: Base: · 12 Weet-Bix, crushed · ¼ cup cocoa powder · ½ cup brown sugar · ½ cup oat flour (blended oats) · 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder · ¼ cup water · 200g melted butter or coconut oil · ½ cup desiccated coconut · 1 egg Topping: · 200g dark chocolate melts · 1 tbsp coconut oil Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 160°C fan-forced. Line a slice tray. 2. Crush Weet-Bix in a large bowl (get those frustrations out). 3. Add cocoa, sugar, oat flour, protein powder, and coconut. Mix dry ingredients. 4. Pour in melted butter, water, and egg. Mix until combined. 5. Press mixture firmly into the tray. 6. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool completely. 7. Melt chocolate and coconut oil together. Spread over cooled slice. 8. Set in fridge before slicing into squares. What's a childhood lunchbox treat YOU want a protein version of? Jam drops? Snack time is dangerous for me. If I don't have something good ready, I'll eat anything. These Chunky Choc-Chip Weet-Bix Cookies live in my kitchen 24/7. They're: ✅ Lower sugar than regular cookies ✅ Protein-packed (thanks to that sneaky scoop) ✅ Crunchy from the Weet-Bix ✅ Chocolatey enough to satisfy the craving 🍽️ THE RECIPE Ingredients: · 125g butter (softened) · ½ cup + 1 tablespoon sugar (~120g) · 1 large egg · 1 cup flour · 1 scoop vanilla protein powder · Pinch of salt · 2 Weet-Bix (gently crushed) · 100g dark chocolate (chopped) · ½ cup coconut flakes Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a tray with baking paper. 2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 3. Beat in the egg. 4. Mix flour, protein powder, and salt in a separate bowl. 5. Combine wet and dry ingredients. 6. Fold in crushed Weet-Bix, chopped chocolate, and coconut flakes. 7. Scoop onto tray and bake 10-12 minutes until golden. 8. Cool (if you can wait that long!) 🥕 The Breakfast That Tastes Like Dessert (Carrot Cake Baked Oats)
Hey guys. I eat this almost every day and it still feels like a treat. If you crave dessert for breakfast (same), this carrot cake baked oats recipe is about to change your mornings. 🍽️ THE RECIPE Ingredients: · 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed · 2 cups rolled oats · 30g vanilla plant protein powder (or ¼ cup wholemeal plain flour) · ½ tsp cinnamon · 1 flat tsp baking powder · 1 medium carrot, grated · ¼ cup pecans/walnuts, crushed · 1-2 tbsp honey/maple syrup · 1.5 cups milk of choice To serve: · 1 pot (~160g) yoghurt mixed with 50g reduced fat cream cheese · Extra crushed nuts on top · Optional: add 1 scoop of protein powder & cinnamon Method: 1. Mix all ingredients together 2. Pour into baking dish 3. Bake until golden 4. Top with that dreamy yoghurt/cream cheese mix 5. Enjoy your breakfast that tastes like dessert!
