The Excuse I Keep Catching Myself Saying
Hey you.
I caught myself yesterday saying “I don’t have time” about something I actually wanted to do. Not a chore. Not an obligation. Something I wanted.
And it stopped me for a second, because — I did have time. I had thirty minutes sitting right there. I just didn’t use them.
So here’s what I’m sitting with today: how many times have I said “I don’t have time” when what I really meant was something else entirely? Something closer to “I’m not sure I’ll do it right” or “what if I start and don’t finish.”
I don’t have a neat lesson to wrap this up with today. I just wanted to be honest about it, because I bet I’m not the only one.
What’s something you’ve been “too busy” for lately that, if you’re honest, might be something else?
