Your creative self is already leaving clues. Notice what keeps catching your attention. Ingredients: - Art journal or sturdy paper - Black pen - 3 colors of markers or crayons - Cup or jar lid, optional - Yellow or gold marker, optional Directions: 1. Draw a loose wandering line from one corner of your page toward the opposite corner. 2. Add five circles or simple shapes along the line. 3. Think of five things that have recently caught your creative attention: colors, materials, subjects, music, or ideas. 4. Inside each shape, add one word or tiny symbol for something you noticed. 5. Color the shapes, then add dots and dashes around the trail. 6. Place a star beside the clue you would most like to follow first. 7. Write the quote in an open space. Optional Reflection: What keeps catching my attention, and what might it be inviting me to explore? Example Quote: “My curiosity is leaving clues. I am willing to follow.” Creative Garnish: Add a trail of five tiny gold dots beside your path. — Meka

Cooler days invite us to soften and slow down. Build a cozy page one simple mark at a time. Ingredients: - Art journal or sturdy paper - Black pen - 3 colors of markers or crayons - Yellow or gold marker or crayon - Ruler or straight edge, optional - Washi tape, optional Directions: 1. Draw four loose horizontal bands across your page. 2. Fill the first band with wavy lines, the second with dots, the third with zigzags, and the fourth with loops. 3. Repeat the marks until each band feels full. Let them stay uneven. 4. Add color to each band, repeating your favorite color in two places. 5. Trace a few marks with black pen and add short dashes that look like stitches. 6. Write the quote in an open space. Add one strip of washi tape if you like. Optional Reflection: What helps me soften and settle when life feels busy? Example Quote: “I can slow down without falling behind.” Creative Garnish: Add five tiny gold stitches to one patterned band. — Meka

Creative Besties, I have a question… What art supply are you saving for “something special”? 👀😂 You know the one. That gorgeous paper you don’t want to cut. The stickers that are too pretty to use. The fancy paint you’ve been saving. The beautiful journal you’re scared to mess up. That little something sitting in your stash waiting for the perfect project. Well, Creative Bestie… YOU are the special occasion. 💜 So for today’s Self-Care Sunday Creative Invitation, I want you to go into your creative stash and choose ONE GOOD THING you’ve been saving. And then… USE IT. 😂 Cut the paper. Peel the sticker. Open the paint. Make the first mark in the journal. You don’t even have to make a finished piece today. Spend 10 or 15 minutes enjoying the thing you bought because it brought you joy in the first place. Because sometimes self-care isn’t adding something else to your to-do list. Sometimes it’s simply allowing yourself to enjoy what you’ve been saving. And ain’t no Creative Police coming to tell you that you used the good paper wrong. 😂🎨 👇🏾 Tell me in the comments: What’s one “good” creative supply you’ve been saving? Bonus points if you actually use it today and come back to show us what you did with it. 👀💜 Happy Self-Care Sunday, Creative Besties. — Meka Now go use the good stuff. ✨

Tell me your weekend plans… but GIFs ONLY. 👀 No explanations. No context. Not one word. 😂 Just drop a GIF (or a few 👀) that tells us what you’re getting into this weekend. Then go through the comments and try to guess what everybody else has planned. 😂 I’ll go first… and apparently my weekend involves a little planning and a whole lotta REST! Okay, Creative Besties… what are YOU getting into this weekend? GIFs only! 👇🏾
