🎨 Creative Besties… let’s play a little game! 😂
Tell me your weekend plans… but GIFs ONLY. 👀 No explanations. No context. Not one word. 😂 Just drop a GIF (or a few 👀) that tells us what you’re getting into this weekend. Then go through the comments and try to guess what everybody else has planned. 😂 I’ll go first… and apparently my weekend involves a little planning and a whole lotta REST! Okay, Creative Besties… what are YOU getting into this weekend? GIFs only! 👇🏾

It was a wonderful break from reality. As promised here's my painting
It’s not procrastination… it’s fear. 🎨💜
My newest YouTube video is up, and this one is for anybody who keeps saying: “I’ll create later.” “I just need more time.” “I need to get motivated first.” “I’ll finish it when I’m in the mood.” But honey… sometimes it’s not procrastination. Sometimes it’s fear. Fear of messing it up. Fear of not liking what you make. Fear of finishing it and realizing it still doesn’t feel good enough. Fear of being seen. Fear of proving to yourself that you actually do care about creating again. In this video, I’m talking about why we avoid the creative thing we say we want to do — and how that avoidance is often our nervous system trying to protect us, not proof that we’re lazy or unmotivated. So before you beat yourself up for not creating, I want you to watch this. Because the goal is not to shame yourself into making something. The goal is to feel safe enough to begin again. Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ohivjFHQhc Then come back and tell me: What creative project have you been avoiding — and do you think it’s really procrastination, or could it be fear? No judgment. We’re just being honest with ourselves over here. — Meka

💸 Creative Confession Time: What’s the Most You’ve Ever Spent on ONE Creative Supply?
Alright Creative Bestie… I gotta know. 😂 What’s the most you’ve ever spent on a single art or craft item? It could be anything: 🎨 Markers 🖌️ Paints ✂️ Cutting machines (Cricut, Silhouette, etc.) 📸 Camera equipment 🧵 Sewing machines 💻 iPads & Apple Pencils 🖨️ Printers 🧶 Yarn 📚 Journals …or that one thing you convinced yourself you absolutely needed. 😅 Tell us: ✨ What was it? 💰 About how much did it cost? (If you don’t mind sharing.) ❤️ Was it worth every penny… or do you have buyer’s remorse? No judgment here—we’re just enabling each other… I mean… learning from each other. 🤭 I’ll be down in the comments too! 👇🎨

✨ Creative Recipe of the Week 🍋 Lemon Breeze
Sometimes we don't need more motivation. Sometimes we just need something fresh. Today’s recipe Ingredients: 🍋 Yellow paint or marker 🍋 Green scrapbook paper or magazine clippings 🍋 A black pen 🍋 One uplifting quote 🍋 Washi tape (optional) 🍋 White gel pen for highlights Directions: 1. Create a light yellow background. 2. Add lemon slices, leaves, or citrus-inspired shapes. 3. Layer torn paper around the edges. 4. Write or hand-letter your favorite uplifting quote in the center. 5. Add tiny doodles, dots, swirls, or sparkles throughout the page. 6. Use white highlights to make everything pop. Optional Reflection: What feels fresh and possible in my life right now? Example Quote: "You are allowed to begin again as many times as you need." Creative Garnish: Add a tea tag, a pressed leaf, or a receipt from a favorite coffee shop to make the page uniquely yours. You don't have to create something perfect. Just create something that makes you smile. 🍋✨ — Meka
