People often say, โI made a mistake.โ But not everything is a mistake. Some things are choices. A mistake happens when we donโt know. A choice happens when we decide. The beautiful part isnโt pretending the choice was a mistake. The beautiful part is having the courage to say: โI chose that, and today I choose differently.โ There is no shame in admitting a poor choice. There is freedom in it. Growth doesnโt begin when we change the language. Growth begins when we change the person making the choices. Truth isnโt meant to condemn usโit is meant to transform us. When we own our choices, we reclaim our power, because if I chose it then, I can choose differently now. Thatโs what repentance truly looks like to meโnot drowning in guilt, but changing direction with full awareness. Healing begins where excuses end and honesty begins.
