Hello family ๐
Hope you are doing amazing.
Hope you have had a beautiful and restful weekend and a good start to the week so far.
I have a quick topic I wanted to bring to your attention because I feel it is very important and crucial when it comes to the work we are doing here together.
This is for those of you who are serious about the spiritual and personal development pursuit.
Which I am sure is all of you reading this because you have decided to join this community.
And just so you know. We like to go deep here.
The aim is real transformation. So we have to get down to the nitty gritty sometimes.
So take this in and let me know if it resonates.
In the spiritual and non-dual space there is a concept referred to as becoming a Zen devil.
It refers to someone who has a spiritual insight or awakening experience and then uses that as a reason to stop doing the work.
They think they have arrived.
They dismiss personal development.
They drop their values and principles.
And then slowly let themselves go without realising it.
The ego then creeps back in and the chaos that follows is often worse than before they started.
They half assed it. And it cost them.
But here is the thing.
There is also the opposite trap on the other end of the spectrum.
That is known as spiritual bypassing.
This is the person who only reads the books. Only consumes the content. Only talks about the theory.
But uses spirituality to avoid dealing with real life.
They float in the concepts without ever grounding them.
They skip over the shadow work, the hard emotions, the difficult conversations and the real inner reckoning that this journey requires.
Both extremes lead to the same place. Stagnation. Confusion. Going in circles.
And if you have chosen to be on this journey.
If you have decided that you want real change and real growth.
Then you have to take it seriously.
Walking that middle path of constant work and improvement is your only real choice.
That means being willing to do the things most people are not willing to do.
Periods of isolation to go inward.
Working with a coach who can hold you accountable.
Watching hours of lectures and content to gain genuine insight.
Investing in the right resources and tools.
Having the hard conversations with yourself.
Sitting with the discomfort instead of running from it.
None of that is glamorous. But it is necessary.
And if you are currently not seeing the results you want.
If you keep finding yourself in situations you do not prefer.
Attracting the same kinds of relationships.
Spinning your wheels and going around in the same circles.
It just means you have not yet gone deep enough.
And that is okay.
As long as you keep going.
The good news is there are now more than 1200 of us in this community who have decided to take that step. And we have each other.
That is not a small thing.
This is exactly why I encourage engagement and conversation in here.
This community is built for exactly this.
To help each other.
To share insights uncovered along the way.
To keep each other accountable on one of the most important pursuits of our lives.
A simple comment or a single insight you share when it is revealed to you could be exactly what another member needed to hear to unlock or overcome something they are currently facing or may face in the future.
So here is the main takeaway.
Do not half ass the work.
Invest in yourself in whatever way feels viable to help and speed up your journey because it is a long one.
Use this community and its members as a form of accountability.
Let us be each other's shoulder to lean on in this very important pursuit.
Something to sit with as you start the week.
Sending you lots of love on this Monday and wishing you a powerful and intentional week ahead ๐
What is the first thing that comes to mind after reading this.
And is there an area of your life where this landed or highlighted something for you.
Drop it below.
I would love to hear it and I am sure the community will benefit from what you share ๐
