Light grey suit.
Here’s the custom suit I had made during my time in Shanghai. After taking on everyone’s advice from last week, I decided to go with a wool suit instead of linen and I’m genuinely glad I did.
I went with a few notable customisations: high-rise trousers with braces, side adjusters, and a slightly longer length that gives what I think is a full break. I’m finding I actually prefer this look, especially paired with my monk-strap shoes.
For the lining, I chose a dark paisley. In hindsight, a dark blue paisley might have complemented the subtle blue undertone in the grey fabric even better, but I still think the current choice has plenty of character. I also opted for grey buttons, though I may swap them out for darker grey or black at some point. I’ll live with them for a bit and see how they settle into the overall look.
Overall, I’m really happy with how it turned out and appreciated all the feedback that helped guide the final decisions.
