Some Satorial advice please
I must attend a funeral of a family member on Saturday. A funeral is an event that I attend so rarely that I have no idea what to wear. My first instinct is to wear a black with grey chalk stripe suit ( an actual suit with matching pants)but I fear that I will be mistaken for the funeral director. I think at least a tie is in order, but what would a man of good taste wear to such an event. There is a graveside service as well and it is going to be 20 degrees and windy so a heavy Fedora and overcoat are necessary. Please help me out with some tasteful ideas.

Decided to stop by "Goodwill" on my way home. Total price $34. Everything is new except the jacket. Seems that I put on some pounds, but don't have a issue with my size. The only problem is the clothes I had tailored last year, are now too tight. Will need to start assessing some garments & parting with if they don't fit. Already gave my son a Quarter zip that was snug & a lil shorta

Thrifting requires many trips to the store. You might score one thing in two or three trips, hold out for quality!
The Equation for Luck
Good Afternoon, Gents. Just sharing a quick post about a spontaneous encounter I had while waiting for my flight. Not much of a story to go along with it, but somebody approached me while I was working on my laptop to compliment my outfit! They even asked to take a picture of me—needless to say, I was quite flattered. I couldn’t not ask them to share the photos with me, so here we are. It’s a relatively mundane anecdote, but nevertheless serves as a potent reminder: Dress well, no matter the occasion. Better yet—be the occasion to dress for. People can’t help but rise to occasions, so there’s no better way to attract serendipity. No better way to brighten the day of others along with your own!

@Aidan Mullins agreed on all those points. However, there is also something powerful and empowering about being the best dressed wherever you go.

@Aidan Mullins I agree and I feel the same way about it. "That's just him" is what I get now and it gives me the freedom to be who I want to be
Classic casual
Sometimes I just want to relax. Scotish Lambswool red cardigan, ribbed Merino wool black long sleeved pullover, classic prince of wales pattern fine Oxxford wool, full cut, pleated and cuffed trousers and Allen Edmond split toe shoes. Total comfort, warmth and style, way better than sweat pants.

@Jason Rochester I actually think of you when I see these as they are something you would wear.

@Roger Rheault I never wear cardigans, but this was my dad's, and it is so warm and bright. I have three and they were all his.
My first bowtie
I originally wanted a point/diamond end bowtie, but this tie was just too beautiful to say no, I do now have figure out what to wear it with and practice my bow tie tying skills.
