Tailoring frustration
I have a wonderful tailor who does extraordinary work altering things. However she is slow....so...very...slow. I bought a wonderful tweed sport coat and a camel colored cashmere coat that needed minor alterations. She has taken so long to alter them and now the season has changed and it will be in the 60s and 70s from here on out, too warm to wear them. She has had them a month. When I get them back they will be perfect, they always are, but what does it matter, I can't wear them now till October of next year. I also bough a stunning Mallory fur felt fedora at least two months ago or more. It looks like velvet but needed some work on the sweat band and re-blocking and cleaning. Again, as with the jacket and coat, the hat was at McLaughlin & Hayes in Milwaukee for weeks getting this work done. This week the weather turned and it is no longer thick fur felt fedora weather. Even more frustrating than the jacket and coat is literally getting something this exquisite and having to leave it in the box for the next 6 months. I appreciate fine work, I detest SLOW work. It is hard not to thank them for their work and then leave a sarcastic message thanking them for waiting just long enough to where I cant wear it. But that isn't very gentlemenly... but the MAN in me would like to punch them in the nose. End of rant

@Jason Rochester well yes, with someone of that caliber of course, it is to be expected. Mine is a local person. When I had the shoulders narrowed on my one and only bespoke suit it was several months and done by the tailor who made the suit, but they told me upfront that is what to expect so I was ok with that.
Hair product
I tend to accumulate… I have hair gel, styling cream, paste, and just ran across a can of hair mousse. Of course I only use one product at a time (note to my eighth grade self back in the late 80s.) I returned to blow drying my hair regularly this past summer. What do you all use, like, etc.?

This came to me this morning
Good morning gentlemen, This was a shocking revelation this morning that came to me on Easter morning, and one that not just applies to those that still have parents alive. This is also to those that we have in our lives that we sometimes take for granted as being around. I don’t know who needed this or if someone needs to remind their children of this. One day your parents will become your children; not in age, but in need. There will come a time when they will forget things. When they move slower, ask the same question, and need help with stuff that use to be easy. Don’t see it as a burden. See it as love… being returned in a different form. Call them more. Visit them more. Speak softer while you still can. Because one day… the phone will stop ringing.
