The Wooden Horse Trap: Why Copying Success Stories Is Costing You Results
I had one of those lightbulb moments this week about why copying what works for others rarely works for us. Turned it into this. Curious if anyone else has fallen into this trap (I know I have).... You see someone's morning routine go viral. 5am wakeup, cold plunge, journaling. They swear it changed their life. So you try it. You set the alarm. You suffer through the cold water. You stare at the blank journal page. And you're miserable. But that's just personal stuff, right? Surely we're smarter when it comes to business. Except we're not. Someone's launch makes $847,000 in three days. So we copy their funnel word for word. A competitor's LinkedIn post gets 12,000 likes. So we mirror their exact format. An industry leader shares their framework at a conference. So we implement it exactly as described in our company by Friday. And then we sit there wondering why nothing's working the same way. Here's what's actually happening. You know the story of the Trojan Horse, right? The Greeks built a giant wooden horse, hid soldiers inside, and left it at the gates of Troy as a gift. The Trojans wheeled it in, thinking they'd won. That night, the Greek soldiers climbed out and opened the gates from the inside. War over. Now picture someone hearing this story and thinking, "Wooden horses. That's the answer." So they start building wooden horses. They send one to their biggest competitor. They wheel one into their next client meeting. They park one in their email campaigns. They build three more for their website redesign. They're convinced this is what's been missing. Sounds ridiculous when you say it out loud. But walk into any business right now and you'll see wooden horses everywhere. Here's what copying looks like in real life. You see a successful business running daily emails, so you start sending daily emails too. But you don't know their audience spent two years being warmed up before they could handle that frequency. You don't see the three backend systems that make it actually work. You just see "daily emails" and you copy it.
Day 1 was awesome!~
Day 1 of the AI Clarity Codes Summit left me feeling elated, positive, and realigned with my message. This day opened with a conversation I believe every woman navigating the AI era needs to hear: you do not need to master everything. You only need clarity on your zone of brilliance and a system that supports the way you naturally think, lead, and create. I took everyone through our evolution into AI, the role it now plays in our lives and work, and how women can find their way through the “AI jungle” without losing themselves in the noise. Then we uncovered each woman’s AI Power Profile™ their archetype, their leadership DNA, and the lens through which AI can become an ally rather than a source of overwhelm. Because once you know who you are and how you operate, you finally know what to build around you. We explored the AI landscape with honesty and simplicity what AI really is, what it definitely isn’t, and how to use it without losing the human heart of your work. And then Catherine came in with her magic. She guided the room deeper into their Message Map, the real voice behind their brand, the clarity behind every piece of communication, and the identity shift that allows your message to actually land. We all reconnected with our story, articulated our work in new language that feels authentic and saw how clarity isn’t just a “nice-to-have” — it’s the unlock for visibility, creativity, content, and conversion and how our message is the foundation for how we can all show up online. And if this is what Day 1 looked like… Day 2 is going to be extraordinary! We’ll go even deeper into content on Day 2, and then funnels & flow on Day 3. Today was about coming home to yourself. And there is nothing more powerful than a woman gaining clarity and claiming her message. Because tomorrow, we turn clarity into creation with the support of two phenomenal women: 🟣 Ricquel Harper (She/Her) - Ethical AI, brand voice, archetypes, resonance @Ricquel Harper

✨ Day 2 of the AI Clarity Codes™ Summit… WOW.
Day 2 was honestly epic; one of those days where everything starts to click into place and you suddenly see yourself, your brand, and your work through a clearer lens. We opened with Session 1: Archetypes with the brilliant Ricquel Harper, and this was such a powerful continuation of the clarity work we did on Day 1. Ricquel guided us through personal archetypes, brand archetypes, and audience archetypes — and it was such an aligned next step after building our Message Maps yesterday; it helped us understand how we naturally show up, how we’re wired to lead, and how our audience actually experiences us. And what came through for me was SO true not new, but deeply clarifying. It articulated what I naturally do and helped me package it up in a way that finally feels “named.” I also took it a step further (in true Amanda fashion 😅) and layered my:• archetypes• personality profile• strengths test• message map …to start building a full Brand Map™ that I’ll eventually share so women can use this same process to understand exactly how to show up, communicate, and lead in one clear snapshot. Here’s what I discovered today: WHO I AM AT MY CORE (PERSONAL ARCHETYPE): The Catalyst–Magician — intuitive, electric, activating, able to shift people with clarity, story, and presence. MY PERSONAL BRAND ARCHETYPE: The Creator–Sage — intuitive builder, big-picture thinker, meaning-maker, teacher, connector of dots. SHE IS AI BRAND ARCHETYPE: Sage–Caregiver–Magician — clarity + support + transformation. MY AUDIENCE ARCHETYPE: The Hero–Everywoman–Creator — a woman with real responsibilities and real dreams, craving clarity, structure, and a voice that finally feels like hers. SHE IS AI AUDIENCE ARCHETYPE: Women who are carrying vision and a life, ready to rise with tools, support, and systems that honour both. Understanding WHY we show up the way we do why we love this work, why it energizes us, and why certain people are drawn to us is transformative. Archetypes give language to what our intuition already knows.

AI Power Profile
Early today I ran my AI Power Profile, located in AI Resources...excited to try out these tools that were recommended: ElevenLabs, Pika & Notion AI 🌟

I’ve been working to create women with softly rounded, natural curves in MidJourney, using the new 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿. Even with a clear prompt, the early iterations kept giving me thin, athletic bodies, one accurate result per grid at best. The shift happened through strict curation. Each Style Creator iteration produces four images. I began liking only the ones that truly reflected the body type I wanted and skipping everything else. No “almost,” no compromises, just a clean signal. Around iteration 13, the model started to adjust. By 20–25, three or four images per grid matched the intention. Iterations 30–35 were the strongest and most consistent. By iteration 40, the accuracy drifted again - sometimes back to one correct figure, sometimes none. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗽: When you do get an accurate image, you can 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 and start building a focused mood board. This mood board isn’t used inside Style Creator; it becomes your visual foundation when generating new images in the Create panel. A clean, intentional mood board helps anchor the aesthetic and supports more consistent results later. Below are five images showing the progression for anyone exploring authentic body diversity in MidJourney (𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗨𝗣𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗗) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱: “A softly rounded, plump woman standing in gentle natural light; realistic proportions, elegant posture, warm and expressive eyes, quiet confidence. Her beauty comes through presence and authenticity. She wears layered fabrics that move subtly in the air: matte linen, soft brushed cotton, textured wool crepe, airy chiffon panels, and a hint of silk satin at the collar catching the light. Each material has distinct texture: linen with visible weave, cotton with smooth softness, wool crepe with fine grain, chiffon translucent and light, satin reflective and fluid. No exaggeration of features; natural face, natural curves. Clean background, detailed fashion lighting, true-to-life skin texture, subtle shadows, realistic color gradients.
