AI Keynote to SMBs - I am curious
Hi lovelies. I am keynoting a Women in AI Conference in a few weeks and decided to redo my entire deck. I want this to be more key-note, than my "educator practical focused" keynotes I have done over the past few years. So I am curious: if you could stand in a room to 100 women business owners who are new, or just dabbling in AI, and almost ALL (whether or not they believe it) need to do some sort of pivot in their business (due to AI), what would the top 1-2 messages you want to convey? This SMBs, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, more "Canadian rural" than city folks.

Training Needs Calls with LOW budgets
Heads up: Training discovery calls with VERY low budgets. I just off a training discovery call with a global IT/soft skills training company (who also delivers AI Training) (as an L&D expert I love it when training orgs reach out). However, they wanted 8 × 60-90 minutes talking head presentations to their internal staff (they never give their internal staff training). The kicker - they wanted it for $1600 Canadian!! I said, I am sorry, this might get you one 60 minute generic session if we gave you a discount. They said, oh this is a pilot and we can likely get you some government contracts at your regular rates (which they never even asked me…) Also, why aren't your AI trainers who deliver to your clients doing this training for your internal staff… either a) they don't have AI trainers and will outsource when they get contracts b) they AI Trainers said no, the price is too low. Two things: 1. We will see more of this, companies who think they can spend no money on AI Training 2. tech bros, digital marketers, who have no business being AI Educators and "jumping on a chance like this" - which totally degrades the value of what we are providing I said thank you, but no thank you and sent him the free resources from Anthropic, Microsoft and OpenAI… Be diligent ladies and stick to your value and pricing. 2.5 years ago I would have said "YES", today, thank you but I pass. Rant over :-)

@She is ai Magazine it absolutely its. This isn't your typically software training. As a 25 year software, I had to "check myself" as I thought in my first year as an AI Educator.

@Lexi Gilbert Thanks so much. Yes, 100% discernment and I am comfortable saying no. I wasn't always though, especially 2.5 years ago.
Global community meeting today?
Hi lovelies. I am just checking in to confirm is we have a global community call today at 12:00pm PST. I haven't had success joining before so I am checking I have the correct time. Also, where do I find the call for the ambassadors? Thanks a bunch. @Amanda Jeffs - tagging you as I know you'll know. Hope to see you on line in a few hours.

🌐 NEW AI TOOL DROP: Google Introduces “Disco” Turn Tabs into Web Apps 🤯
What if your browser could build custom apps from your open tabs… instantly? Well, it just might.... Google has quietly released a new AI experiment called Disco, powered by Gemini, and it’s changing how we think about the web. 🧠 What Is Disco? Disco is a browser-based AI tool that can: 🔍 Analyze your open tabs 🧩 Understand what you’re trying to do 🛠️ Turn your tabs into custom-built mini apps (called GenTabs) no code required. 📌 Examples: - Planning a trip? It might build a visual itinerary tool. - Researching a topic? Disco could create an info organizer or summary visualizer. - Working across scattered tabs? It creates a single app to pull it all together. And yes you can just tell it what you want, and it builds it on the fly. 🚀 Why It Matters Disco marks a major shift in how AI interacts with the web: 🌀 From passive answers → to active experiences 🧠 From tabs and bookmarks → to smart, task-based web apps 💼 From browser chaos → to flow-state productivity Google is moving fast to embed AI directly into your workspace and this is just the beginning. 🔥 How Could You Use This? 💡 AI-enhanced client workspaces? 💡 Learning dashboards from your research tabs? 💡 Creative planning or launch prep tools, built live? 🧪 Try It & Tell Us: 👉 Have you tested Disco yet? How do you think it compares to Notion AI, Arc Browser, or ChatGPT’s file browsing?

I am curious, what happens if I always have 50 windows open.. I heard the sign up process was a full interview, has anyone done this yet?
AI & HR - Recruiting
Hi everyone, I have a client and HR Firm, who is really frustrated with their candidates using AI in their interviews. Anyone have any suggestions how to combat, deal or navigate this? Part of me wants to tell them... we can't fight it, we don't need a bandaid solution (i.e. have them step back away from the computer so they can't type the questions into ChatGPT) or do we need a brand new way of thinking about this? We know recruitment is going to be disrupted (it already has been with AI interviewing agents. Thoughts? TIA

@Lexi Gilbert Hi Lexi. First of all this is brilliant!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and expertise on this. This HR CEO is also a little jaded as a client "fired them", created a Custom GPT and called them the name of the CEO and bragged about it. We don't need you, we just took off of your advice etc, and created a Custom GPT and now we ask it to support us.

@Wayne Morgan Thanks Wayne. Yes it's looking at new ways, and how to disrupt yourself. My sister has had 3 interviews by AI Agents and she said it was a great experience.
