Here’s a key take-away from John Mueller at Google: canonical tags are case-sensitive when it comes to URL paths & filenames. URL hostnames (domains) aren’t case sensitive, but if your canonical has /Topic/Article and the actual URL is /topic/article, you’re asking for trouble. What this means for you: make sure canonical URLs match exactly (including case) the preferred page version. Don’t rely on “hope Google figures it out, hope is not a strategy. Time to audit those canonicals 🎯

Google’s latest Q3 data confirms it, AI isn’t replacing search, it’s boosting it.AI Mode + AI Overviews = more queries, more engagement, more search behaviour overall. Key takeaways from my POV: • 75M daily users already playing with AI Mode • Search volume went up, not down (so much for the “SEO is dead” crowd) • The real shift isn’t traffic loss, but traffic redistribution, where clicks land is changing, not whether people search So what now? Stop doom-scrolling, start adapting: schema, intent depth, brand authority, zero-click strategy… all matter even meer dan vroeger. AI didn’t kill SEO. It just raised the difficulty level. Game on. 🎮
