SB7 Video training [how to develop your marketing story]
It's funny how you hear about something (thanks for mentioning SB7 in another thread) and then suddenly you start seeing it everywhere.
This terrific training popped up in my YouTube feed last night:
Master the StoryBrand Framework with Donald Miller: Clarify Your Message in 7 Steps
From the beginning I was hooked. Especially for NF authors, this is a strategic framework around which to build web site copy, social posts, speaking engagements, interviews, emails, videos, webinars, funnels, etc. Basically, any type of marketing collateral you might implement!
I love simple, clear marketing frameworks that engage emotion & intellect, aligned intention, and easy implementation.
The summary of Miller's plan....
7 elements (for which you also develop sound bites) that cover the following story structure:
1 - CHARACTER -- what your hero (client) wants
2 - PROBLEM -- the internal, external, and philosophical issues
3 - GUIDE -- positioning yourself as the trusted person to help solve the hero's problem
4 - PLAN -- the 3-step process that makes it easy for the hero to understand the journey
5 - CALL TO ACTION -- affirmation, direct, or marketing
6A - SUCCESS -- create the image of the happy ending
6B - FAILURE -- remind them what life will be like if the problem isn't solved
7 - IDENTITY -- show them the transformation they will achieve
If you work with this framework, I'd love to see examples or hear case studies. Would be neat to see it in action with an NF book. I'm going to start playing with how it applies to mine...
