Potential Deal Advice

Looking for some advice ahead of what I guess you could call a coffee date next week. It's a bit of a unique situation.

There was a course creator/coach who was definitely a leader in his space a while back. Email list of probably 1.5mil (maybe more). As it turns out, he had passed away a while ago.

I randomly connected with his brother a couple months ago and shared some ideas and words of encouragement. He is trying to salvage/revive the business. There's certainly a great amount of content to work with, but the face of the brand is no longer around to coach.

We had a few emails back and forth then he went radio silent. I saw him send a couple promo emails within that time period. Now, he has resurfaced and said he was working with someone he knew to try and get the business up and running again, but it has clearly not been working - asked to connect for a phone call to see if there is a potential of us working together.

Of course, I said yes.

I'll obviously go through the exploratory questions and see how much of that list is even viable any more. And then try to re-warm what I can.

But does anyone have any experience in a situation like this? It's a bit of a unique situation given that we are trying to revive the business of a creator who is no longer around.

Also, thoughts on how you would structure a deal like this?
