Here's my exact conversation with this dude and my pontification about why it worked. [my notes might be bullshit, but the result says something]
This guy has a coaching business with himself and 6 other coaches.
Their programs range from $7500 to $15,000.
He's NEVER heard of me or me of him.
I sent him a cold email on autopilot [pic 1]
He sent a very simple response. "I'm interested tell me more" [pic 2]
I did 5 minutes of research and told him what I wanted to tell him. [pic 3]
One of my favorite little questions is at the end of this short email.
"Would 10 new clients a month break your business?"
It sends people to a place we want them to go. He feels like he needs to prove himself to me and he's probably counting the extra sales in his head. "10 extra sales a month for $7500. That's $75k more a month! $900k a YEAR!"
No need to do the numbers for them. They believe the numbers they do, more than the ones we do for them.
He responds to make it clear he can handle it. [pic 4]
I see where he's at, so I ask for the coffee date. [pic 5]
He confirms and asks me for the Zoom link. [pic 6]
This is how easy it CAN be.
I feel like I did a decent job of leading the conversation and keeping the focus on him without asking questions I hadn't earned the right to ask.
I also didn't try to screen the hell out of him before the coffee date. No need. I saw enough to know I at least want to talk with him.
There you have it.
From my current view of the world, this stuff seems easy.
Of course, I've been putting in the reps to make it easy. This isn't my first time trying to bench press 300 lbs.
