AI won't be stopping Ronin
A day or so ago I wrote a 4 line post on Facebook about how easy it was to use Claude code.
3 lines of the post were about how quick and simple it was to create a little Chrome Extension (took me like 20 minutes).
The point of the post was to inspire people to make their own tools.
1 line of the post was about what the extension did...
...the extension notified me when a keyword was talked about in a FB group (so I could get involved in the conversation)...
Guess what the comments were about on my post?
Not how great AI was...
Not how easily software could be created now...
Everyone asked if they could have the extension!
...Even though the whole post was about how easy it was for them to make their own!
The point this drove home for me is...
Certain people will always want the thing done for them - no matter how easy it would be to create it themselves.
So should we be worrying about AI eating our lunch?
...Not anytime soon from my perspective.
Keep making deals.
PS - creating a simple little tool that solves a problem for your ideal client is great way to get hand raisers and start conversations.
