PART 2: Real Time Ronin Deal Case Study
Part 2: New Prawdukt Partner secured [approach template]...
So a little update...
I'm gonna turn this into a rolling case study so to speak so if this is useful to ya?

To bring you up to speed...
In Part 1. I got control of a 219,000 person list but they've got no prawdukt!
Not a problem for us Ronin's though...
We just go out and find the prawdukt.
Get it for terms that minimize our DOWNside and maximize our UPside...
And make it a WIN for everyone while having FUN.
So I Googled [niche name] online certification course.
And I found a blog that had a short list of them.
Now, I wanna reach out to them.
But I need to lead with THEIR focus.
Soooo I whipped this up and pushed send...

My name is Tony.
I was on your site and I really like what I saw!
Your (name of digital product) you're selling really has my interest.
I've got a 219,000 person list of (niche) lovers that I'm looking to promote someone's product to.
Would you be open to discuss?

Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out I heard back from someone in less than 30 minutes.
His name is Tony too:-)
We settled on a Zoom call for Saturday (today).
Now, before I went into this Zoom?
For this deal to make sense, I KNEW I had some pretty specific terms I needed.
I wasn't sure how this was gonna go...
But I knew if I couldn't get them with Tony?
I'd just thank him for his time and tell him I need to give it some thought.
And I would think about it...
While I get back to the OTHER peeps who have already emailed me back from my initial reach-out.
Point is?
I wasn't attached and I didn't show up to this call needy.
I do have a time constraint because the test starts June 27th...
And I felt confident I could get a course and the terms I needed.
But I still wasn't 100% sure how it would play out.
But after some conversation...
I laid my cards on the table for Tony.
"Tony, I'd like us all to win here (remember his name is Tony)...
I'm running a test with this 219k list.
This is what I do.
If you're cool with me putting your program in front of 219k peeps?
I'm gonna be running your program to them as a test too.
It could go well?
It could poop the bead.
I have no idea, but if it's somewhere in the middle I'll be tickled.
So I'm looking for someone who has a prawdukt that's a few years old...
They've done well with but they've got new(er) programs they're focused on.
But I still need their program to support all these new customers.
And do it really well.
Because if it goes well?
I'd like to DO THIS AGAIN..."
So far, Tony is shaking his head.
I can tell he's hearing this...
"Tony, I know you got customer support peeps to pay so here's what I can do...
I'd like to pay for licensing so I can offer it to our list of 219,000 peeps.
You still get all the buyers.
I just ask you to treat them like gold SO WE CAN DO THIS AGAIN..."
Now I didn't yell, I'm just emphasizing to Tony that I'm not looking for a booty call for cash here.
I want to set up MORE opportunities for us.
This is a first date for us TOO.
And I'd like to see if we can go on MORE dates and maybe even get married.
Tony loves this idea.
So we settled on $5k licensing for the year of his prawdukt.
I can pay that in payments over 10 months OR I can just pay it off after the test is run.
He left it up to me to choose.
Now yes, he gets all the buyers.
And I'm collecting all the payments on this deal.
But he also agreed to fully support all those new customers.
AND...
Wait for it...
I already planted the seed about taking everything off his plate and upselling all those buyers into his next-level program.
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE:
Tony happens to be a course creator sure...
But he also has SEVERAL other experts in this niche under his bigger companies umbrella. He also manages their business, courses, and email lists.
Which is why he's so curious about this process and how little risk he has...
...but he also appreciates how much of a win I'm making this for him.

This is my first deal like this I'm doing where I'm taking a product and dropping it into someone else's flow...
ANYTHING could happen at any time and the deal could go kapoot.
So I don't get excited until those Stripe notifications start pouring in.
