First Coffee Date
I had my first coffee date this morning with the ADHD coach, who immediately responded to my LI message last week.
The conversation was theoretically about him licensing or selling my Paperless Home course. Yesterday, I did some research and thought he might also be a potential sales saver partner.
It was a really good conversation; he's a super nice guy; I let him have my PHS course for free to get his feedback; We'll have another conversation about the course and selling/licensing it in a few weeks. I also mentioned to him that I have partners who are helping folks close high-ticket offers.
This is what I learned about his offers on the call:
  • He has a few low-ticket offers (<$150) and one high-ticket $5k program
  • Max capacity for the $5k program is 5 people because it is very hands-on
  • He does paid workshops ($79 per ticket, $129 for a VIP ticket) to get people into the $5k program and usually gets 20ish people into the workshops
  • He usually sells 1 seat to the $5k program and was really interested in getting help selling the other 4 seats
  • He's considering doing the workshops for free to get more attendees and, ultimately, more people Into his $5k program
  • Because the $5k program isn't selling well, he is currently offering it for $500 to get more testimonials
  • He has one other higher-end service that has been selling since 2013 - I didn't get the price or the details on it
The call was a little disjointed because we talked about the course and his offers (instead of just about saving sales for his business). This is what I think I should have asked him/found out on the call:
  • The size of his email list
  • The size of his membership group
  • What it's costing him not to fill the other 4 seats in the $5k
  • The $5k program runs for 3 months, which I think means he only sells it 4x/year, but I didn't ask if the cohorts overlap and can start at any time.
  • The pricing and details about the other higher-end offer
My initial thoughts are that his $5k program is not a good candidate for a sales saver campaign because:
1 - It sounds like it is fairly new, and it is not selling well now
2 - The program maxes out at 5 seats
3 - If I did fill the other 4 seats for the $5k program and took $10k/50%, it kinda feels like taking some of his pie because of the limited number of seats
I'd appreciate any feedback - am I on the right track about what else I should've found out and his potential as a partner???
