I’ve been using Beet It nitrate shots and Xendurance lactic acid buffer tablets to help with cycling performance. I understand the marketing claims — improved endurance, reduced fatigue, better lactate processing, etc. — but I’m not sure how much of that is actually backed by solid research. Do these types of supplements genuinely improve performance, or are they mostly placebo/snake oil? And if they do work, are the effects noticeable only in elite athletes or for someone like me who’s still building fitness?
