Road trip to Melbourne, about 750km (approx 460miles) to catch up with Bones. My Best Friend for almost 40yrs and his son have been noticing my shoes, clothing and how I care for them. His son pulled me aside last weekend and asked me to help him with a pair of shoes his father gave him years ago but they’re ratty. He figured they were garbage. I said give them to me and I’ll see what I can do. That same evening he explained that he admires how I dress and he really wants to start presenting himself better at work. He said he wears decent clothes but always with sneaker shoes and he really wants to step it up. I told him that I’d be thrilled to show him how to care for his items and take him to thrift stores or show him how to search on eBay and it would be my pleasure to help him get started. Either way these are his fathers old Ferragamo loafers before and after. It just goes to show. People pay attentions and some have the same desire. We need to show up for the next generation otherwise we can’t complain about how they dress. Especially if they want to learn the sartorial way.

A couple of days ago there was a rumor that the group would become fee based on 1/1/26 and another rumor that pre-1/1/26 folks might be grandfathered in. I assumed there would be a Y2K type of shutdown/lockdown for anyone (such as myself) that didn’t input their CC information. Yet, here I am. Does anyone have updated information?
