Why Some Men Command Respect Instantly
OOTD-CW - 16 March 2026
Harried week and lots to try and do. I need a cloning machine... Outfit: • Shirt — DS‑043 (Charles Tyrwhitt): A sky‑blue spread‑collar French‑cuff dress shirt in non‑iron herringbone cotton, offering subtle texture with crisp structure. The herringbone weave adds depth while remaining conservative, making it an ideal foundation for a business‑formal suit. • Undershirt — US‑012 (True Classic): A navy crew‑neck undershirt in a light cotton‑poly blend, cut close to the body for a smooth silhouette. The darker tone prevents show‑through under the blue shirt while maintaining all‑day comfort. • Suit — SJ‑011, SL‑020 (Joseph Abboud): A mid‑gray two‑button wool suit with a fine mini‑check and slight sheen, projecting authority without visual heaviness. The structured shoulders and classic drape create a sharp, executive presence well suited for internal leadership meetings. • Tie — NT‑008 (Berma Bilas): A medium‑blue silk tie with charcoal, white, and silver repeating geometric motifs. The restrained pattern complements the herringbone shirt without competing, reinforcing a polished, analytical aesthetic. Tie recommendation: Half‑Windsor for balance with the spread collar. • Pocket Square — PS‑011 (Charles Tyrwhitt): A solid sky‑blue cotton pocket square that quietly echoes the shirt while staying subordinate to the tie. Folded in a clean TV fold, it reinforces business‑formal discipline. • Belt — B‑003 (Nordstrom Mercer): A black leather belt with a simple silver buckle, understated and properly formal. The clean hardware aligns seamlessly with the watch case and cufflink metals. • Socks — DSo‑075 (Fort Belvedere): Over‑the‑calf gray cotton socks with a blue shadow stripe, providing subtle continuity with the tie and shirt. Excellent stay‑up performance ensures a clean line when seated. • Cufflinks — CL‑009 (Fort Belvedere): Platinum‑tone eagle‑claw cufflinks with onyx spheres, offering controlled symbolism and depth. They add gravitas without flash, appropriate for senior leadership contexts.

When things don’t go as planned!
Starting the week off a bit differently than planned! I was busy doing recurrent training this weekend, and was supposed to travel home last night. But the weather here was a bit less than hospitable 😢So I decided to stay. “Better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground!!” But that in turn means 2 extra nights, as the weather at home is also miserable through tonight, but hopefully will clear out tonight so I can catch up to my week, which means no chance to get home, but head directly to a trade show my team is setting up tomorrow. Oh well! This is what makes life interesting!! I LOVE Monday’s so I’m getting it done while working remote. Still dressing as if I were in the office!! OOTD: Blue/Green/Tan Tattersal Navy Kahki’s Green Ribbed OTC Dress Socks Brown, Derby’s “Speedy” Trying out the Creed - Centaurus today. Wishing you all a wonderful Monday!!
