Which Coat?
I am 77 and six feet tall. I am and looking for advice on a coat that fits my style without screaming “cowboy.” I’ve been considering a short duster or field duster, maybe even a jean jacket—but I’m not sure a jean jacket would be appropriate for business appointments over my blue blazer.
For context: I usually wear a solid shirt, as per Antonio, due to my age, a straw flat hat (without ridges), a bolo tie with a gold horse (to cover my turkey neck), and blue chino pants from Brooks Brothers.
I already own a cashmere full-length overcoat, a classic trench coat—but none of those feel right with my new western-leaning look. I also have a sharp leather jacket, and I do not need a Harrington.
What would you recommend I consider that would look sharp and professional, but still feel true to my style?
