Tailor your own stuff?

I bought a decent Brother brand sewing machine during my time in the military to sew on my own patches. Was thinking of upping my game and attempting to try out tailoring my own stuff (Obviously after a LOT of practice). Does anyone else tailor their own stuff? Been checking out Stylish D Tailors YT channel and feeling pretty confident. I’ll practice on some old items I was going to donate and post here.
