'Semi'Formal Dinner outift

Last night, I attended a dinner event and decided to wear my recent purchase of Roush Pure Leather Formal Derbys in coffee brown by building my entire outfit around them.

I wore a tailored blue self-design formal suit, though I’ve realised I’m outgrowing it a bit!
My shirt was a bright brown and white striped piece from Domani Blue Label, a thoughtful gift from my time in the USA. It’s quite smart, with a great fit and a smooth cotton mix finish.
I accessorised with a tan leather belt from Calvin Klein.
The coffee brown Roush derbys completed the look.
Grey stone-studded silver cufflinks added a touch of elegance.
I wore textured blue socks that reached up to my shins.
My grandfather’s Omega Automatic watch from the 1970s, complete with a custom-built light green leather strap, was a cherished addition.
I used a slick collar to keep my shirt collar upright, though I mistakenly chose a larger size, which slightly peeked out from one corner. Thankfully, it went unnoticed.
For fragrance, I applied Terre d’Hermes on my undershirt and Christian Dior Bois Talisman on my shirt and neck. I’m particularly fond of the burnt firewood scent from Talisman.
One oversight was forgetting my pocket square.
