I’m still waiting—along with the company—for the client to decide whether to hire me. I’ve been working at Level 3 for the last five years across multiple contracts and roles. Now that I finally have the Open Plan Professional (OPP) certificate, the client wants to bring me in as a Level 2 for six months, then “promote” me to Level 3 after consolidation. The numbers don’t add up—this would lose money and make the contract not worth it.
We’ve asked the client to reassess and see if they can make the finances work from day one. It’s a small team of six with a lot of needs, and from our experience with them, they won’t just use my scheduling skills—they’ll tap into my project management, planning, and proposal expertise too.
Classic case of a client trying to get more for less.
Any hooooo here is today’s outfit breakdown:
Brixton Brood Snap Cap in Grey Herringbone
Country Road Double Breasted Herringbone 100% Fine Wool Overcoat in Graphite (I am trying it out with a slightly cinched waist to give it more form, If it works well I will get it tailored to have an extra button and button hole on the rear belt)
M.J. Bale Harwood Suit woven in a super 130s Birds Eye weave in a True Blue Hue
Charles Tyrwhitt Twill Shirt in White With its distinctive diagonal pattern and French cuffs
Cambridge Brushed Silver Square Cuff Links
OTAA Puerto Rico White Flower Necktie
OTAA Shining Silver Tie Clip
OTAA Mister Show Business Wool Pocket Sqaure (this brings the Brood Cap in a little more, and not specifically to compliment the tie)
Charles Tyrwhitt Aqua Polk-a-dot socks
CNES MTO Oxford with Goodyear welted construction and crafted from Italian crust leather (I really love these shoes, hence the reason I am looking at another pair of CNES)
