Greetings gents,
I haven't been active in the community for a few months now. This is mainly due to sheer laziness. That laziness has led a few bad habits start to trickle back into my life. So, before they get out of hand, I'm taking steps to foster better habits. Part of that is getting back here. This community has long been a place of positivity and encouragement. Things we all need in our lives. So, while I might not be active everyday, I do plan on checking in a lot more than I have in the past few months.
It hasn't all been bad though. One of my last posts was about interviewing for a new ambulance company. I'm happy to report I did get that position and made the transition to my new employer at the beginning of March. Since then, things have been looking up in my career. Switching companies also came with a significant pay raise which has been helpful as well. Recently I was asked to be a Feild Training Instructor as well. This is a more senior position. Essentially when we hire someone new or an employee advances from EMT to paramedic, they'll ride with me and other instructors to ensure the new person is ready and confident in their role. It's a role I've done with previous companies and I'm excited to get back into it.
Glad to see the community still going strong and I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
