About a year ago, upon viewing my first article on RMRS, the first feeling I got was that style is a very complex matter, nonetheless fundamental.
In my example, I found out about differents style of jackets and overcoats; I was attracted by how many choices there were, in particular I was drawn to the quilted jacket: let me tell you that I've yet to buy one. And I am aware of the importance of skin tones on clothing color; yet never actually put it to practice.
I am young and will change clothes many times; however, there's a reason why Antonio sells the Style System, I've been thinking, and that's because style is a system that can (SHOULD) be leveraged. Quality over quantity, they say, and a good awareness of one's skin tone + coscentiousness of creating actual interchangeable combinations is, most likely, the key to success.
But rarely was I aware of all of these three things combined, even if, right now, I possess the fundamentals for every style code, except black/white tie (which suffices!).
To achieve perfect style in all merits, then, more research has to be done. It is a question of asking oneself WHO he wants to look like, WHAT strategy to adopt and WHY do so. It is a matter of knowing the man you want yourself to be. And guess what? The hunger of quality clothes doesn't fade; it is what stylish men are happy to be hungry about.
So I have a few questions for you.
What clothes do you wish to buy in the future?
What colors are you most attracted to?
What are your style icons (J. Bond aside 😁)?
How far are you from the point of style perfection?
To be honest, I thought I were pretty close, but my style goal of perfecting smart casual is very far from achieved. I still want that quilted jacket! I need quality boots! Tan chinos (I own a pair that fits no more)!
It is a question of what you think is fundamental and what is not, yet has that vibe that makes you feel "perfect" wearing it.
