In an AEP electric job today so wearing my ariat fr gear

Safety vest

My ariat boots

Shades

Hard hat

Did y’all know electric can jump 10 feet from an energized line to a truck ?

Also if a vehicle gets energized from a line , u should stay inside unless vehicle catches fire

If this happens they say to jump out and shuffle your feet till your a safe distance away . It use to be to hop with both feet ,but electricity goes away from an object in waves , shuffling is supposed to give u better chance at not getting electrocuted then hopping through waves.
