Hi,
I'm 77 and often in the public eye. After reviewing a recent city council presentation where I appeared as the parade chair, I noticed I looked older than I felt—and the camera highlighted a bit of a “goose neck” appearance.
I considered wearing a scarf, but that is out of place in our local culture. The next morning, I tried buttoning my top collar button, and it did a good job minimizing the issue. A regular tie would solve it—but that is too formal for my day-to-day activities.
I’m now exploring other options. One idea is a bolo tie—something more relaxed than formalwear, but still sharp. I'm open to other suggestions too—maybe something stylish, dignified, and appropriate for someone my age and role.
Have you seen any good alternatives?
Ed
