Today was a lot less walking, a few buses and train but a lot less walking.
We headed out to Nijo Castle, but as we only had around 45 minutes until then next activity my wife had organised and we would have needed to pay, and maybe not got through much of the castle, we decided to have a look arou d the outside and head in the direction of the activity.
With a 1000 start Nicole guided us to the house in Bonchi, Kyoto so that here and the girls could make miniature meals. It was a fantastic little lesson that all three girls really enjoyed. Nicole made a Ramen bowl, Poppy mii Sushi and Jade made a dessert concoction of her own. The only things they didn't make were the bowls or plates, however everything else from the rice and noodles to Jades bananas and strawberries were made by them. I also took the opportunity to take a photo of my new watch in amongst a tray full of the miniature Japanese food.
After this as completed and the rain had started we took the opportunity to have a very easy day and headed back to Kyoto Station, there are so many amazing restaurants and small shops inside it is easy to just wander and loose time. So by 1700 we had had lunch, browsed many stores and then headed back to the hotel after an easy 9000 step day.
