Hello everybody, my name is Matthew. I am 20 years old. I have watched yt videos about manhood and ways to improve my life. But I never truly took action to make a change. I joined brotherhood because I wanted to find a community but most importantly a family. Three things I want from brotherhood. 1. Have a better understanding of myself, improving one step at a time. 2. Building a healthy foundation long term. 3. Forming healthy relationships with likeminded individuals. Three things I like to do for fun. 1. Calisthenics 2. Listening to Instrumentals 3. Observing Nature

Insoluble fiber is a type of dietary fiber that does not dissolve in water and, as a result, remains largely intact as it moves through the digestive system. Soluble fiber is a type of dietary fiber that dissolves in water to form a gel-like substance in the digestive tract. A study conducted how eating fat and fiber affects sex hormones in men. The study had 43 healthy men, and they made them eat two different diets: one low in fat but high in fiber, and the other high in fat but low in fiber. They switched between these diets after 10 weeks and a 2-week break. The diets had the same number of calories. On the low-fat, high-fiber diet, 13% higher levels of testosterone were found in the blood, especially the type bound to a protein called SHBG. Urine tests also showed 13% more testosterone when on the high-fat, low-fiber diet. However, levels of estrogen (estradiol and estrone) and certain hormone metabolites were 12–28% lower when eating the high-fat, low-fiber diet. In conclusion, the study suggests that what you eat can change how your body processes sex hormones in men. In this study they tested how different types of bran, hulls, cellulose, lignin, and a substance called cholestyramine can trap hormones like estrone, estradiol, estriol, testosterone, dihydrotestosterone, and estrone-3-glucuronide. Each hormone had its own pattern of trapping in these substances. Cholestyramine trapped the most hormones (about 90%), while cellulose trapped the least (only 12%). Other substances trapped hormones as follows: lignin (87%), wheat and oat brans (45% each), corn bran (44%), and oat hulls (32%). Hormones that were chemically changed (conjugated) were less likely to be trapped. Lignin seemed to be particularly good at trapping these hormones. These results show that hormones are attracted to these substances because of their water-repellent nature and suggest that when studying how fiber affects hormone levels in the body, we should consider different fiber components separately.

Glycine is one of the 20 amino acids that serve as the building blocks of proteins in the human body. Amino acids are organic compounds that combine to form proteins through a process called protein synthesis. Glycine is unique among amino acids because it is the simplest in terms of chemical structure. What does Ray Peat say about glycine? Glycine and Collagen: Ray Peat has emphasized the importance of glycine in the diet, particularly in relation to collagen production. Glycine is an essential amino acid that plays a crucial role in collagen synthesis, and he has suggested that consuming adequate glycine may support healthy skin, joints, and connective tissues. Anti-Inflammatory: Peat has suggested that glycine may have anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce inflammation in the body. He has argued that glycine can counteract some of the pro-inflammatory effects of certain amino acids like methionine and cysteine when they are consumed in excess. Glycine and Stress: Peat has also discussed the potential role of glycine in managing stress. He believes that glycine may have a calming effect on the nervous system and could be beneficial for individuals dealing with stress and anxiety. Metabolism and Glycine: Ray Peat has proposed that glycine can support metabolic health by improving the efficiency of energy production at the cellular level. He suggests that glycine may enhance mitochondrial function and promote overall metabolic stability. Glycine Sources: Peat has recommended dietary sources of glycine, including gelatin, bone broth, and collagen supplements. These sources are rich in glycine and can be included in the diet to support collagen synthesis and potentially benefit overall health. Glycine is essential for the production of bile acid, creatine, nucleic acids, and porphyrins, supporting many important processes within the nervous system and the gut. Glycine is neuroprotective and can lower oxidative stress and it has been shown in the research to help improve all sleep parameters in humans. Supplementation with glycine has also been shown to get rid of fatigue caused by sleep deprivation.

On Friday Night at work while driving the bus with College Students I notice they was going to parties and they was drunk. The Most High told me about stress and addiction. College Students go through a lot of stress with school work, so they turn to perversion and drunkenness to cover up the issues they facing. I myself for many years turned to the websites to cover up my issues with instant Gratification. I thank everyone in this community for steering me in the right direction

Here is a snippet of a lesson from The Reclaim Mastermind. Hyperthyroidism = high metabolic rate Testosterone and DHT production is dramatically increased in hyperthyroidism and their clearance rate is decreased. The most dramatic increase was noted for DHT, with plasma levels increasing by 8-10 times over the average values found in euthyroid men. The data on testosterone was pretty similar to DHT. Decrease clearance and a slight increase in free testosterone. Conversion of testosterone to its weaker metabolite androstenedione is significantly decreased, but the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone is increased twofold. There was an increase in SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin), but free T is still greater during hyper than euthyroid. SHBG also decreases the metabolic clearance rate of testosterone. There is accelerated conversion of estrone and estradiol into estriol, which is the “weakest” of the estrogens and is often used as a final form to be excreted in the urine. High TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) due to hypo also increases prolactin. The increased SHBG will help bind free estrogen and excrete it through the urine. Estrogen clearance in the body is increased during hyperthyroid. Thyroid hormones and Vitamin A work synergistically. Hypothyroid is not only due to low thyroid hormones, but could also be due to low conversion of T4 to T3. Hyperthyroid also: 1) Increases androgen receptors 2) Decreases estrogen receptors 3) Inhibits the aromatase 4) Decreases androgen binding proteins 5) Increases protective hormones When the testes are damaged (by oxidative stress for e.g.), thyroid hormones help to repair the damage by generating new (differentiation) Leydig cells. Hypothyroidism in an adult is associated with severe intellectual defects, abnormal balance, and defects in fine motor skills, plasticity, and deafness.

I would like to at least cut down on bread consumption and ideally get rid of it completely due it being somewhat nutrionally harmful and me feeling tired after eating it. Do you have ideas how to replace the carbs from bread? (I eat a lot of fruit and a good amount of potatoes already)

0-500 ng/dL is considered LOW testosterone. This is where you experience all the symptoms of low testosterone. ⠀ - Low Libido⠀ - No morning wood⠀ - Low sex drive⠀ - No drive⠀ - No motivation⠀ - Hard to build muscle⠀ - Hard to drop fat⠀ - Brain fog⠀ - Emotional⠀ - Erectile Dysfunction⠀ - Low metabolism⠀ - Constantly cold⠀ Also “beta male” tendencies and so on… and on… ⠀ 500-700 ng/dL this would be considered NORMAL testosterone levels.⠀ ⠀ You will still experience some of the low testosterone symptoms.⠀ ⠀ 700-1000 ng/dL is HIGH testosterone.⠀ ⠀ Here you experience all the benefits of high testosterone.⠀ - High Libido⠀ - Daily morning wood⠀ - High sex drive⠀ - High drive⠀ - High motivation⠀ - Easy to build muscle⠀ - Easy to drop fat⠀ - Mental Clarity⠀ - Calm and Collective - Optimal blood flow - High metabolism⠀ - Warm all the time - Confident Also “alpha male” tendencies and so on...⠀⠀ ⠀ 1000+ ng/dL this is where everything is OPTIMAL. Most guys will probably not experience this in their lifetime. There is more variables to consider. Like this post I made. And this like free testosterone, SHBG, albumin, cortisol ratio etc.
