I'm posting my answers to the journal prompts here as an accountability measure for myself.
- Looking back on 2025, the most important lesson/transformation I've experienced is seeing myself as a wealth strategist. Getting past my fears of imposter syndrome, although that creeps in from time to time. Seeing myself as a wealth strategist, I will consistently share content that is informative and educational to share my knowledge and experience with the universe that has been given to me by GOD. Doing this takes my focus away from increasing revenue, chasing Assets Under Management (AUM). I will be intentional with my actions. I will not wait to be discovered; sharing my knowledge and experience will attract my niche audience.
- Looking back on 2025, the lesson I STILL haven't fully learned is to hire a tax preparer. Instead of "firing" my tax clients to focus on building my wealth management business, hire a tax preparer to keep my current tax clients with the goal of transforming the tax clients to wealth management clients when they have a life changing event that requires their need for all of the services I provide. I am the bottleneck because everything goes through me. I've created a job for myself; I have not created a self-managing business. Creating a self-managing business creates more free time for myself and allows others to work in their unique ability.
- Thinking 12 months ahead, I want my life to be: more intentional with the specific work I do and the work I delegate to others. I will gain more clarity on my niche area that I work in which will provide clarity to people looking for the specific services I provide. This will change me personally in that I will not be as stressed because I will be working in my unique ability; I will delegate busy work so I can focus on being a wealth strategist that meets with current and potential clients to demonstrate a science-based approach to retirement income planning that will help establish reliable retirement income, reduce the impact of market fluctuation, and accommodate inflation.
Thank you for letting me share my thoughts here. Even as I typed this out, I seemed to find more clarity.
