I was in the middle of uploading 8 listings when I was hit with 2 orders for 3 items: one download for just pennies and then a double-order of 2x A2 posters at once: the first time I've ever got a poster order for more than one and the 2nd largest size I offer too! Not only that, finally, one of those was an original popular poster design and the 2nd was one that followed the advice of "if it's popular, make more variants of that same thing". This is the first surge of activity after a rather painful 8-day dry spell. One thing in this a lesson I (think I) have learned (it's hard because there are so many apparently contradictory factors to consider), is that it doesn't pay (so well) to run a sale for 1 month. Running 1 day sales repeatedly is tough to manage if you're busy at work, and 2 days seemed not to work very reliably for me. My wife runs them weekly and says this works for her well. Time to try that! I look forward to hearing what the experiences of others have been at this time of year, and what factors you believe have an influence on shop success, too. :)

Hi everyone. So I just wanted to pop on here at the start of October and share my experience. I joined Etsy on May 28th and uploaded my very first print June 3rd. June 17th I had my first sale. I followed the Printshrimp videos to the letter and haven't deviated from it at all. I have been documenting this on my tiktik (@Sidehustlemichael) and have between 450-500 prints uploaded currently. Month by month it has increased and in September I made just over £2000 in profit. PROFIT, not revenue. I spend between 20-30 hours a month on this. If you are on TikTok come over and follow and if not, feel free to ask any questions here, but to be honest, just trust in the process. (I won't be sharing my Etsy store before anyone asks!)

Honestly, I got a little excited when I saw it, haha. I knew it was inevitable that I’d receive 1-star reviews at some point, and I’ve actually been waiting for the day it happened. It finally happened today 😂 It was because the print arrived damaged, and I’m already arranging a replacement for the customer, so there’s a chance they may change the review. But for now, I’ve officially got my first 1-star review!

My first full month selling prints and I’m over the moon with the results. If you’re thinking of starting, do it do it do it!! I quit my job a couple of months ago to look after my toddler full time, a scary decision and I didn’t think I’d be able to earn money for myself again until she went to school. I started seeing PrintShrimps videos and just HAD to give it a go. I used to have an Etsy shop 5 years ago selling art prints that I was having to print and package myself, it was fun to start with but the novelty very quickly wore off due to the pressure of delivering high quality prints myself. Thank you PrintShrimp for allowing me to have some financial independence whilst also enjoying every day with my daughter.

Just wanted to drop a little positivity into the group today! I recently received an order—27 items in a single checkout. I know orders like this are rare and definitely not the daily norm, but moments like this make all the behind-the-scenes graft feel worth it.
