There are TWO types of regrets:
- Regrets of Action – Wishing you hadn’t done something (sins of Commission).
- Regrets of Inaction – Wishing you HAD done something (sins of Omission).
Mark Batterson, in his book In a Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day, reminds us that the bigger regret in life is inaction—the opportunities we didn’t seize, the lions we didn’t chase.
Goodness isn’t just about avoiding bad. It’s about stepping boldly into the opportunities God places before us. We’re not just called to run from sin—we’re called to CHARGE toward God-sized dreams.
Playing it safe might feel comfortable, but it’s the riskiest move of all!
True success is about making the most of the opportunities God gives us...
How YOU Can Apply This:
- Stop Watching From the Sidelines: Don’t just applaud others for chasing their dreams—REALIZE you have the same potential. God has given YOU opportunities. Will you take them?
2. Face Your Lions: Whatever fear or challenge is standing in your way, confront it with courage. Remember, it’s not the outcome that defines you—it’s the COURAGE to take action.
3. Shift Your Mindset: Instead of fearing failure, focus on the regret of inaction. Let the thought of a missed opportunity fuel your drive to act!
Reflection Question: What “lion” in your life are you avoiding, and how can you take the first step toward chasing it?
How I’m Putting This Into Practice:
As I build my business, I’ve come to realize that every challenge, every fear, is an opportunity to step out in faith. Whether it’s launching a new project, reaching out to a potential client, or testing a bold idea, I’m working to grab life by the mane and make the most of every opportunity God places in front of me...
I also want to use my Challenger Syndicate community to encourage and support others in chasing their dreams and overcoming fears. Together, we can learn to see challenges as opportunities and step into the life we’re called to live.
What about You?
What opportunity is in front of you right now?
Are you ready to grab life by the mane and chase that lion?
